Special Educational Needs Provision

The primary aim is to integrate pupil's with SEN into the academic and social life of the school and so enable pupils (from the least to the most able) to work to their full potential.

The school has designated S.E.N Co-ordinator, SENCO and a Governor with responsibility for S.E.N.
 

The arrangements for co-ordinating the educational provision for pupils with S.E.N. is the responsibility of the Class Teacher liaising with the SENCO and support staff.
The school has an open admissions policy, when it is in the best interest of the child concerned and is compatible with the effective education of other pupils at the school.
 The school has ramp facilities to assist access for those with physical difficulties. The school also has a number of support staff with specific skills relating to SEN provision and a purpose built Supportive Education Base.
Identification, Assessment and Provision for Pupils with SEN.
The procedure for initial identification, individual assessment arrangements and regular reviews are as follows:

Parents are fully involved with the education of their children and are invited to attend informal and formal meeting on a regular basis.
